Boring or what?

It was lunch and I had gone outside, it was cloudy. So far the day had been so boring. I had history next and I was dreading it, I hated history so much. Why did we have to learn about the past? I sat down on a bench and grabbed a note book out of my bag and started doodling. I loved drawing it was the only thing I was good at.

Lan had been stood out in the courtyard, no-one coming near him until a girl sat down on a bench not far from him. People avoided him because he had the look of somebody so dangerous and well trained that he would kill without a second thought,that and Matt had spread around that he was Becca's nut case cousin. He looked at the girl and said softly "What are you drawing?" his voice was cold and hard in tone and deep. His long black/brown hair hung limp to his shoulders and his face was a mass of sheer planes like a rock face.

I looked up. Surprised that someone had atually talked tome, usually I was ignored. Ermmm... I'm just doodling. I admitted. I loved drawing scenery and places and stuff, I was more a real life drawer. My doodle was of an old church.

I wandered through the crowds of people enjoying their lunch, trying to find Lan. I really hoped he hadn't gone to find Matt. That would have us both expelled and possibly Hayley too. I found him, sitting on a bench, with Zoe, a girl from my history class. "Hey," I smiled, relieved, and went to stand behind Lan. I folded my hands on his head and rested my chin on them.

"It's good." he said softly, when Becca came up behind him and rested her hands and chin on his head his tone became a little more friendly "I guess you two already know each other?" he sighed "I'm Al'Lan Mandragoran by the way .. just call me Lan.."

Yeah. Were in the same History class. I told him. I'm Zoe Patterson, most people just call me Zo though. I said.

I grinned. "Whatcha doooooin'?" I asked, sounding like a five-year-old.

Jessy walked over to where Becca was standing, they had met before and she said "Hey Becca..." then looked at the boy next to her, a half vampire unless she was sorely mistaken, Becca was a vampire like Jessy but that boy, Lan was definitely a half vampire.

Lan looked around and glared at the new comer but she seemed to know Becca so he just let it slip, this once.
