Back again.

After 5 days Becca and Lan arrived int he car park to be greeted by Jessy and all their friends and fellow vampires, Lan stood with hsi arms aroun dBecca from behind looking sour and not very pleased at all.

Jessy stood near Lan and becca, leaning lightly on their car's hood and chatting amiably with Becca.

I was chatting normally with our friends and the one question that came up with all of them was "Where were you?" I told them that a distant cousin of mine was in hospital in a coma, and acted sad, so they let it drop.

He laughed when Jessy gave him a look as if to say she knew it was a lie an dleaned over towards er an dlistened to her whisper.

Jessy leaned towards Lan and whispered softly "5 days? no you two were having .. sex weren't you?" and her theory was confirmed by the way he looked at her "Well it was bound to happen some time ehh?"

I didn't hear the start of Jessy's sentence so I frowned, confused when I heard 'It was bound to happen sometime'.

He whispered soflty in Becca's ear "She knows we were having sex, she guessed, that was why she said it was bound tohappen sometime babe."

"Oh." Well, that wasn't embarrassing at all. I avoided eye-contact with Jessy. I saw a new guy. New to the school, anyway. And skipped over. "Hi, I'm Becca. And You're new." I grinned.

"Yep, I'm Ollie." Ollie smiled, holding his hand out to Becca, who just watched it until it fell.

"Come, meet my friends," I smiled, trying to make amends for the hand thing. I walked back over to the others, still not looking at Jessy, with Ollie following me.

Lan glared at the .. Ollie boy and put his arms back around Becca when she walked back and stood in front of him, he looked back at Jessy and chuckld "Yeah it was .. well we had to take a break, I gotta sleep she doesn't, I actually collapsed on the fifth day, straight out like that" he said clicking his finers and she giggled.

Jessy giggled softly and said "Wow you really not got the samina to keep up with her have you? now thats a first ehh? a guy who can't keep up with the girl." then she looked at the new boy and smiled, waving "Hey!"

I pulled up in the parking lot and got out of the car. Beth went over to talk to some of her friends and I went and found Becca, who was with Lan and Jessy and the new guy, Ollie. Hey Guys! I said, smiling.

He looked over at Zoe and smiled "Hey Zo." and he looked at Jessy and Becca.

Jessy looked at Zoe an dsmiled "Hey Zo, don't believe what Becca tells you about why they been away for five days" she said with a giggle.

I pulled up into the school lot and parked up my car, I got out and wandered over to Becca, Lan and someothers.

I clamped a hand over Jessy's mouth so the last part of her sentence came out in a mumble. "Hey Zo, this is Ollie..."

"Williams-Taylor." Ollie smiled.

I laughed. "That's my surname! High five! Well, the Williams part is."

He took his arms from around Becca and whispered "I'll be back in a sec" and walked to Zoe, lookign at her "Can I speak to you a second?" he asked softly.

I laughed. Okay. Hey I'm Zoe. Then I turned to Lan, Sure you can

He nodded and took her away from the others for a moment "Well really I need your advice .. it's hard trying to work out how to phrase this ..."

I frowned but let Lan go. He'd tell me if he wanted to. "So," I started, directing the attention away from me. "What did everyone do this weekend?"

Just spit it out. I said, smiling.

He laughed softly and said "Look you've known Becca longer than me .. i fI asked her to marry me what do you think she'd say an dwell would you give us your blessing as one of her best friends?"

My mouth fell open, with a little pop; I shut it automatically. Errmm...yeah, sure. She'd probably say yes.

He nodded and hugged her "Thank you .. that has helped put my mind at ease... you know she'd probably ask you to be maid of honour .. don't say anything about this to her please but if she did you would say yes wouldn't you?"

Yeah. I said, hugging him back. Don't worry my lips are sealed.

he hugged her again "thank you Zoe .." then he turned and gestured for her to join him walking back, he had to calm himself knowing Becca felt his moment of elation.

I felt Lan's emotions but ignored them. Like I told myself. If he wanted to, he'd tell me. In his own time.

He took a deep breath and nodded to Jessy who moved over to ollie and gently pulled him back from Becca.

Jessy nodded to Lan as he walked past her while she was holding Ollie and then she whispered to Ollie "Wait a second and you'll see why I pulled you back."

Lan stood in front of Becca and knelt slowly and looked at her "Well here goes nothing" he muttered "Becca Williams will you marry me?" he asked in a resolute tone, letting no emotion slip through the bond, forcing himself to keep his emotions under control.

My eyes grew into two wide o's. I must've looked like a cartoon, 'cause I blinked a few times more than normal too. "Are you serious?" I asked, reigning in my expression.

He nodded pulling out a small box an dopening it to treveal a carved sapphire ring, not a single piece of metal upon it, the saphire flecked with little bits of golden colour and shaped to fit her finger perfectly. "I am completely serious babe."
