Another Dreary Day

Time : 8am
Weather : Cloudy, slight breeze
Season : Fall
Surroundings: Forks High. Parking Lot. Becca's sister, Hayley.

I drove my car into the parking lot of Forks High. It was the start of a new semester. I parked in my usual parking space and killed the engine. I got out of the car and closed the door. I took a step back and admired it. It had been a gift to myself for getting good grades last semester. Well, I had to justify it someway or another. I hopped out and sat on the hood, waiting for someone to come.

'' becca here is your test '' I said hopping out of the building. '' good job '' I said smiling. I was always the one with good grades and the trouble but this was really something I never expected from becca.

I laughed. "No need to sound so surprised." I hopped off of my car and danced to her side, plucking my test from her hands and looking at the mark. I grinned.

'' you promised a date to the summerfestival to an idiot who could know that you won't come anyway? you're evil my little sweet sister good job. '' i hugged her.

I laughed as she hugged me, I hugged her back. "Only for that test. For the English, I passed on my own."

'' thats because we speak english damn why do they teach us so many stupid things '' I rolled my eyes.

I laughed. "That is so true." I noticed the teacher come out of the class, looking a little flustered. "Damn Hayles, what did you do to him?"

'' nothing really...well maybe I made him think he was a frog but that was in the middle of the night. you had to see his face it was way too funny ''

I laughed so hard at what Hayley had done and looked back at the math teacher in time to see him jump a foot in the air to catch a fly.
"I don't think he's quite gotten over it."

'' its a gift what can i say '' I laughed.

I laughed again and skipped over to my math teacher.
"Sir, are you okay? You look a little. . ." I trailed off.
The teacher just jumped in the air again and hopped off.

I giggled. '' god '' i said.

I shot a serious look at Hayley but couldn't hold it. I wandered inside and up to the secretary's desk.
"Hello. Mr Jameson, the math teacher needs a cup of tea and a lie down. He's a bit. . under the weather." I smiled. The male secretary - who was filling in for Mrs Cope while she was off sick- watched my face, blinked and then nodded. His eyes darted down to the paper in front of him. I turned and headed out the door. As soon as the door closed, I burst out laughing and skipped over to my sister.

Jessy walked into the secretaries office, exchanging a glance with the girl just leaving, signed herself in as a new student and walked back out before approaching the girl who just came out of the office and another girl "Hello .. I'm Jessica, just call me Jessy. The easiest way to say this I think is .. I am like the Volturi and I believe you are to yes?"

I laughed. was she drunk or just blind? Volturi? '' no we're not '' I said fake confused.

She frowned "So you are not .. one of those beneath the Volturi?" she asked, obviously confused "Those the Volturi protect?"

'' nope I am someone they want dead they just don't have the guts '' I said.

She nodded and whispered "So you are a vamp?" trying to be subtle as not to bring the Volturi down on her for a mistake "I'm not .. uhh wrong in that guess am I?"

I kept quiet. My sister had the brains-and the gift- to see her intentions and any hidden meanings. I just smiled and looked as if I was daydreaming.

'' So what brings you here? I don't have a sliver plate but i do have my head with me '' I said sarcastically. I hated the volturi I wanted them to leave us alone.

I shuddered as Hayley described what the Volturi wanted correctly.

"I .. I am not here as Volturi ... I am impartial when it comes to their ... methods, I am just trying to find some place to settle and I spotted that well you know... So I thought I'd check ..."

Melissa ran onto the parking lot, happy to make it in time. Why must brothers be such a pain?
She stepped, and tripped. She stood up and looked at herself. Ripped jeans, contents from her backpack scattered across the ground, and a heelless heel. But she wasn't bleeding. So that was good. She began to pick up her books.

I noticed someone trip and fall in my peripheral vision. I skipped over to her, it was slightly easier to be around humans with my sister near.
"Hi," I smiled while I helped her pick up her books.

Lan prowled into the school car park with a grim look upon his face, the stoney features of hsi face were set as he approached Becca silently and stood at her side, no swprd on his belt only a hidden knife inside his jacket just in case he needed it.
